Mabef M/04+ Studio Easel
The MABEF M/04+ is a professional studio easel built for artists working at scale, and the most adjustable easel in the M/04 family. A front crank raises and lowers the canvas holder smoothly under full load, so a large canvas can be repositioned mid-session without lifting it. A second rear crank tilts the mast forward and back — useful for pastel and charcoal work, where a forward lean keeps dust falling clear of the surface, and for reducing glare when working under studio lights.
The mast extends on a sliding section, taking canvases up to 235cm. Construction is oiled, stain-resistant beechwood throughout, the same material MABEF has used since 1948, and the finish resists paint and solvent marks rather than absorbing them.
