Choosing a graffiti marker

Tagging and fine detail (1–4mm) — Molotow ONE4ALL 127HS, POSCA PC-1M and PC-3M, Grog Cutter 08. Fine enough for blackbook work and sticker art.

Handstyles and mid-size (5–15mm) — Molotow 227HS, Grog Cutter 15, KRINK K-60 and the Loop 15mm paint marker. The everyday tag width.

Fills and coversall (18–60mm) — Molotow 460PI, 627HS, Dripstick and Masterpiece 760PI, plus On The Run Soultip. Built to cover fast and drip on purpose.

Prefer to mix your own? Our empty markers and mops take any ink or paint refill, and you can swap nibs to change the line width.

Graffiti Marker FAQs

What is the best marker for graffiti tags? Molotow ONE4ALL is the most popular all-rounder — refillable, permanent and available from 2mm to 15mm. For paint-based coverage on rough or grubby surfaces, Grog Cutter and On The Run Soultip are the usual picks.

Which graffiti pens work on walls? Paint-based markers such as Molotow ONE4ALL, Grog Full Metal Paint and POSCA hold up outdoors far better than alcohol ink.

What is the difference between a marker and a mop? A marker uses a firm nib for controlled lines; a mop uses a soft, absorbent tip that floods ink for drippy tags. Both are refillable.

Are POSCA pens good for graffiti? Yes — POSCA is water-based, opaque and works on paper, canvas, metal and plastic. Popular for blackbooks, stickers and fine detail rather than outdoor walls.

Which markers are best for a blackbook? Fineliners and 1–5mm paint markers — POSCA PC-1M, Molotow Blackliner and Montana Sketchliner sets.
